Meet our New Staff

Hi everyone, my name is Reginald Zafra, the newest member of the Wellbeing Team at Lalor Secondary College. 

I am very excited to be joining Laz and Lavinia in the team this year and have had the pleasure of meeting so many of you in such a short time. 

Within my first two weeks, I’ve already been a part of a few of our Year 7 Orientation Presentations and some of the Year 12 Study Camp Presentations too. 

My passion for wellbeing led me to shift my studies from science towards counselling, which is the field that I have been working in over the past few years. 

I look forward to meeting so many more of you in the community and am grateful for the opportunity to support everyone this year

Hi everyone, my name’s Adrian Verna and I’m very excited to be teaching year 7 and 8 music as well as instrumental guitar lessons at LSC in 2026. I’ve been teaching guitar lessons at schools since 2015 and this is my 4th year teaching in classrooms, having spent the last three years teaching at Melton Secondary College, and five years before that running the band program at Blackburn Primary School.

 I regularly perform music with my band at venues around Melbourne and interstate and am keen to work with music students at LSC to grow their skills and abilities and musicians and performers. I grew up in Mill Park and played for Lalor Stars Football Club for a few years when I was young, and am very much looking forward to teaching and being involved in the community that I grew up in.
