Laptop Rollout

This year, Year 7 students at Lalor Secondary College have begun their learning journey with the support of our 2026 1:1 Laptop Program, ensuring every student has access to the digital tools needed to thrive in a contemporary classroom.

As Learning Specialist – Innovation, it has been a privilege to coordinate the rollout of devices, onboarding sessions, and digital learning supports that help students build confidence, responsibility, and strong learning habits from their very first weeks at secondary school. The excitement shown by our new students as they connected, created, and collaborated online has been wonderful to see.

This important work would not have been possible without the dedication and professionalism of our IT Team, whose careful planning and technical expertise ensured a smooth and successful launch. I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Janae Barns for her outstanding organisation and ongoing support throughout the process.

We look forward to seeing our Year 7 students continue to grow as capable, creative, and responsible digital learners across 2026 and beyond.
