Charter Ceremony
Interact Club
On the 1st of August, Tarneit Senior College hosted representatives of Rotary International for a truly unique experience. Over the 2024 year, our students have worked tirelessly to found the College’s Interact Club; a joint venture between Tarneit Senior College and Rotary International to provide students the opportunity to participate in a global movement dedicated to community service, leadership and philanthropy. On this evening, these students, referred to in the Club as “Interactors”, were officially inducted as members of the global Interact Community, consisting of over 340,000 young people worldwide in 15,000 clubs.
Tarneit Senior College welcomed our Interactors, their families and representatives from Rotary to a celebratory event, where our members were congratulated for their work in establishing the club, officially inducted into the Club, and were awarded their Interact Badges. The College and Rotary also congratulated Emily Graham on her work as our Inaugural Interact President, in addition to our 2024 Leadership Team Abdul Ali, Amrit Kaur, Justin Bachmann, Aateka Nadeem, Simarpreet Sangha, Yashraj Kaur, Jace Prajapati, Cherub Sandhu, Yati Tyagi and Jasveen Kaur.
On behalf of the staff at Tarneit Senior College, I would like to once again congratulate our amazing students who have volunteered to bring our College into the Rotary Community, and for their commitment to upholding our College values of Integrity, Innovation and Focus by dedicating themselves to stepping up as leaders and volunteers in both the school and wider community. Well done!
Ash Sevior
-Interact Staff Director
Tarneit Senior College held the Interact Charter Ceremony, with students taking on leadership roles to make a difference in our school. Alongside our Staff Director Ash, we have worked to develop and build the foundations of Interact at Tarneit Senior College. Rotary have supported us during this endeavour and helped us each step of the way, with representatives from both Rotary and RYPA attending every meeting to Listen and guide us in this new adventure.
I would like to thank the school and Rotary, on behalf of us Interactors, for the amazing opportunity they have given us. We are very grateful for the huge impact we can and will make on the community. I would also like to thank Ash for bringing Interact to the school and showing us what it means to be better leaders, along with teaching us valuable life lessons we can take into the future. We can’t wait to see how Interact evolves and changes over the next few years.
-Emily Graham
