Interact Club Changeover

On the 17th of October, our school’s inaugural Interact Club celebrated the departure of our Year 12 members, thanking them for a year of dedicated service to improving the school community and preparing our club to begin participating in both local and global charity events moving forward in 2025. This included a ceremony in which our Year 12’s were provided a certificate thanking them for their service, and a small party to celebrate all that they have done for our College.

Additionally, our Interact Club celebrated the election of a new leadership team by their peers, with our newest Interactors being awarded their leadership badges after the outgoing leaders officially passed on the responsibility of managing Interact to a new generation of leaders. Tarneit Senior College would like to congratulate our incoming president of 2025, Erasti Kanellopoulou, and wish her good luck in representing the College and Rotary International in 2025. Additionally, we would like to also congratulate Simarpreet Sangha, Cherub Sandhu, Ukti Kuikel, Maisoon Alam, Arnav Rai, Yashika Garg, Jasveen Kaur, Agam Johal, Yati Tyagi and Adeena Qazi on their appointments into leadership roles for 2025, and wish them all the best in representing the College and Rotary.

Finally, on behalf of the staff of Tarneit Senior College, I would like to thank our outgoing Year 12’s Emily Graham, Abdul Ali, Alyssa Nunez, Yashraj Kaur, Alpheline Bara, Justin Bachmann, Amrit Kaur, Joshua Suto, Jace Prajapati, Lam Huynh, Orlando Ler Rong Chang, Ali Kabeer, Noa Khan, Aateka Nadeem, Anshu Kumpavat and Dhara Shaherawala. You have represented our College with great distinction, have embodied our College values of Integrity, Innovation and Focus, as well as upheld the Rotary mission of Service Above Self. We will miss your presence at our College but wish you the greatest success for the future.

The College looks forward to seeing Interact continue to grow and succeed in improving the school and wider community in 2025! Congratulations to all!

Interact Staff Director

I would like to thank my fellow Year 12 Interact members; all of you are what have made this year an amazing one. Seeing the development each and everyone took has made a lasting impact. From achieving the first ever fully student led week of events at Tarneit Senior College, to attending the first Multi-District Conference on behalf of the College, it has been an amazing journey and one we can all be proud of.

As the year 12’s left, the Year 11’s and 10’s took over the leadership roles to continue the Club. I want to congratulate everyone who received a leadership position and I know you will work with respect to our vision and flourish into great leaders.

The students in Interact is what makes the club so great, and what brings it all together to make an amazing community - one which people want to be a part of and one that puts ‘service above self’.

I wish all the luck to the 2025 leaders and I am so excited to see the achievements they report back.

2024 Interact President

This year has been filled with amazing and meaningful memories for the members of our Interact Club. To our wonderful and successful Year 12’s, thank you for bringing this club to life and constantly supporting everyone to fulfil their potential and develop into such great leaders like yourselves.

2024 was our first year of running Interact at Tarneit Senior College and we have achieved great things that we should all be proud of. One of our biggest successes was Community Week, where all of us students organised the week and brought it to life, with the week themed around the community we live in, and the connection between the community and students. I would like to say a massive thanks to our 2024 Leadership Committee - they inspired not only me but more members of the club into stepping up and being elected into the 2025 Leadership Committee, to be the next generation of students who support building our school community and our connections to the wider world.

I wish the best of all luck to our extraordinary Year 12’s for their futures, and am excited to see their amazing personalities grow and for them to impact other people -  just like they made an impact on us in 2024.
