Battle of the Boards

Congratulations to Eli (8E) and Layne (8B) who played their way through to the Year 8 Boys Chess final over the last five weeks. In a gripping 30-minute final, Eli managed to prevail in a very close game. Both students showed great improvement, concentration, and perseverance. Thank you to all the other students who participated. Great fairness and spirit was shown by all competitors. The Year 8 Girls event has almost reached its final games and will be concluded next week. Presentations will be conducted in the next couple of weeks. 

The Year 7 students start their competition on Monday, with a Boys and Girls event and will run until the end of term.
