The children in FS have been enjoying outdoor play these past two weeks especially with the changes in weather. The trees have lost many of their leaves, there are often puddles to explore and the children enjoy the different experiences of playing outside when everything is covered in raindrops.
Cubby building has also become an important endeavour with children working together to build large scale cosy spaces in the classroom. The importance of teamwork and working together have been our focus with the children as well as their many other creative endeavours including finger knitting, painting and drawing. This week we also made pretzels, exploring the shapes of numbers. The children enjoyed constructing and testing a tennis ball run in outside play, and making something as long as the “tower of london” with a “trillion” pieces.
