The Thornberries Win again!
Congratulations to our parent band - "The Thornberries" who took out the Trophy for the Northside Heat #2 of Parent Battle of The Bands on Thursday May 21st for the SECOND year running with a spellbinding set that had the whole of The Croxton completely hooked!
From The Cranberries to some awesome crowd line-dancing during "Texas Hold 'Em" (Beyonce), their set had everything! Powerhouse vocals. Tight rhythms. Huge stage presence. Top Class from start to finish. What a SENSATIONAL NIGHT!
The Thornberries will compete against all the winning bands from Greater Melbourne on Thursday 10th September at the iconic Corner Hotel, Richmond! Save the date!
They are keeping busy now, working on a special DISCO set for the upcoming Trivia night on August 8th! See below!

Buildings & Grounds Committee
The Buildings & Grounds Sub-Committee helps maintain and improve our school environment, overseeing upgrades and supporting the School’s Master Plan.
In recent years, we’ve contributed to a range of improvements, from working bees and refreshed learning spaces to inclusive playgrounds and outdoor upgrades. We prioritise sustainable and inclusive spaces, enhancing green areas and ensuring our facilities support all students.
We warmly welcome new members - no experience needed, just an interest in supporting our school. It’s a great way to get involved and make a positive difference.
Recent work includes;
- refurbished OHSC room
- wellbeing outdoor instruments
- covered bike shelter
Babajen shade sail and built in seating
Save The Date:
Our Term 2 working bee will take place Saturday June 13th 10 - 2pm. We will be improving outdoor spaces around the Babajen. Kids are welcome of course!
Social Committee
The TPS Social Committee is a team of parent and carer volunteers working behind the scenes to make events happen for the whole school. Our events bring families together and raise funds for extra equipment and facilities for our kids to enjoy.
Everything we do depends on volunteers - without your support, events simply don’t go ahead. And if we want events that reflect our community, we need our community involved.
Whether it’s coming along to a meeting or helping out at an event, every contribution counts - and makes these events possible.

Trivia Night: Saturday 8th, August
Lock in the babysitter, dust off the sequins, and prepare your brain for a glitter-fuelled workout. The TPS Trivia Fundraiser is landing with full disco energy! Big beats rollin’ out with a DJ Geenome and live band The Thornberries, a quiz battle that will test your wits and your team spirit, spot prizes popping up like surprise dance moves, a raffle stacked with goodies, and funky bar staff to keep the good times flowing!
Disco divas and dancefloor dynamos, it is time to assemble your crew and sharpen those trivia skills!
This is not just a quiz night.
It is a full-blown boogie with bragging rights on the line!

For those who are having trouble getting a whole table together, you can buy 1-4 individual tickets for a 'mystery table' and we'll match you with other fun and friendly trivia lovers. We'll put you in touch before the night so you can talk costumes!
