Mobile phones and smart watches at school
In line with the Department of Education’s Mobile Phones – Student Use Policy, personal mobile phones and smart watches must not be used at Thornbury Primary School during school hours, including recess and lunchtime.
Students are encouraged not to bring devices to school unless there is an important reason to do so. These items are brought to school at the owner’s risk, as the school does not provide insurance for accidental damage or theft.
If students do bring a device to school, secure storage is available. Year 5 and 6 students must place devices in the secure phone safe in the Babajen, while all other students are required to hand devices to the school office for storage in a lockable cupboard.
For more information, please see the Mobile Phone – Student Use Policy on the TPS website.
