Senior Volleyball WMR Final

On Monday 11th May our Girls Senior Volleyball team competed in the WMR Final at Leisure time Geelong.

The girls competed against The Grange, Altona and Maribyrnong.

We won our first two matches against Altona and The Grange quite comfortably which set up a mini final against Maribyrnong in which the winner would play off against the winner of

Pool B.

It was a tight tussle with both schools winning a set each but unfortunately time played a factor and Maribyrnong won as they won more points overall than us.

The Senior Girls played their hearts out and should be super proud of their efforts.

Thanks to Mr Siriandis for his support and encouragement.

Badminton

During Term 2, Year 7, Year 8 and Intermediate students proudly represented the school in Badminton for Interschool Sport held at Eagle Stadium. Our students competed against a strong field of schools including Manor Lakes, Werribee, Featherbrook, Carranballac, Suzanne Cory and Point Cook.

For many of our students this was their first opportunity to participate in competitive badminton. Despite being relatively new to the sport, they embraced the challenge and showed a willingness to learn.

Throughout the competition, students demonstrated determination, resilience and a positive attitude while developing their badminton skills and gaining valuable match experience.

The students enjoyed the competition and have already expressed their enthusiasm to return next year.

Thank you to Mr Siranidis and Mr Nilsen for their time in coaching and supporting the students.
