Safe and Respectful Behaviour

Safe and Respectful Behaviour to and from School

At Lyndale Secondary College, our values of Respect and Responsibility don’t stop at the school gate — they apply just as much when travelling to and from school.

Students are reminded to:

  • Use pedestrian crossings where available and wait until it is safe to cross.
  • Pay close attention near roads, especially along Brady Road and Gladstone Road, where traffic can be heavy before and after school.
  • Show respect to all members of our community, including drivers, pedestrians, and younger students from nearby schools.

We have received reports of unsafe behaviour when crossing roads near the College. Please remember that road safety rules exist to protect everyone.

When travelling on public transport, students are expected to behave respectfully towards other passengers and transport staff, offer seats to those in need, and speak at a reasonable volume. Wearing our uniform means representing Lyndale — your behaviour reflects on our whole school community.

Let’s continue to work together to ensure every journey to and from school is safe, respectful, and responsible.

Members of the community who observe unsafe or dangerous behaviour are encouraged to report their concerns directly to the police to help keep everyone safe.
