A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

School Performance Report

The 2025 School Performance Report was released this month for all Victorian Government schools. This report provides valuable insight into each school’s performance across the key areas of Learning and Wellbeing.

The report draws on a comprehensive range of datasets, including 2025 NAPLAN, 2025 Attitudes to School Survey (AToSS), 2024 Teacher Judgements (end-of-semester report data), 2024 Senior School data (VCE mean study scores and VCE/VCE-VM completion rates), and 2024 attendance data.

At Lyndale Secondary College, this data highlights the ongoing transformation in our teaching and learning practices. It demonstrates that student learning continues to thrive and that students’ sense of belonging and connection to the school is stronger than ever.

Our Learning performance, informed by NAPLAN, Senior School, and AToSS data, shows continued improvement across multiple measures. Similarly, our Wellbeing performance, supported by AToSS and attendance data, indicates that our students are increasingly positive about their school experience.

This improvement is not accidental—it reflects our consistent focus on embedding our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience in all that we do. These values guide our approach to teaching and learning, underpin our wellbeing and inclusion practices, and shape the culture of high expectations and support that defines our college.

I am extremely proud of our collective work, which has resulted in consistent growth across every dimension of the School Performance Report. These improvements reflect the quality and consistency of teacher practice, as well as the shared commitment of staff to student learning and wellbeing.

These results give us confidence that Lyndale’s trajectory will continue to strengthen in 2026.

The future for our students—and our school community—remains very bright.
