Assistant Principal Report

Student Management & Engagement – Assistant Principal Report
As we farewelled our Year 12 students, we proudly welcomed a new group of alumni to our school community. We look forward to hearing about the many successes that await this remarkable cohort. We hope that the lifelong lessons of Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience continue to guide them in all that they do.
A special thank you to Ms Monique Lenehan and the Year 12 Coordinators, Mr Lyndon Shane and Ms Carolyn Bates, for ensuring such a smooth and memorable finish to the year. From organising the Celebration Assembly, the up and coming Valedictory evening and final excursion to supporting students with assessment completion, their efforts have been outstanding.
It has also been very pleasing to see so many Year 12 students attending school during their study periods to prepare for exams. This commitment reflects their strong connection to our school and dedication to success. We wish all students sitting exams the very best of luck — your hard work will pay off!
Year 9 City Experience
Congratulations to Mr Adam Nettelingham and the entire staff team for executing an excellent Year 9 City Experience program. A big congratulations also to our Year 9 students — the way you upheld our school values was exceptional.
Students demonstrated outstanding punctuality, respect, and positive communication within the community. They embraced the challenge of navigating the city — an experience that can be both exciting and nerve-racking — with confidence and maturity. We are incredibly proud of you all!
Punctuality and Late Arrivals
While it has been great to see improvements in morning attendance, a small number of students are still struggling to arrive on time. Developing lifelong habits of punctuality and responsibility begins with arriving at school ready to learn each day.
A reminder to parents and carers:
- If a student misses all of Period 1, a parent explanation is required via compass, a note or by calling the school.
- Students arriving late must sign in at their sub-school office before attending class.
If the school has not been notified, parents will be contacted to confirm the student’s absence.
Some students have been attempting to enter class late without signing in — please note this is not acceptable. We will continue to reinforce this message to ensure all students understand the expectations.
End-of-Year Program
Please review the key dates and details below regarding the End-of-Year and Transition Programs.
It is essential that parents and carers use Compass to provide consent for activities. School staff should not be printing consent forms. If you experience any issues logging into Compass, please contact the front office for assistance.
Update to 2026 School Uniform
Please note the following updates to the school uniform, effective from 2026.
PE Uniform
On days when students have PE, they may wear their PE uniform to school. The PE uniform includes:
- Runners
Black school logo tracksuit pants or plain black pants
(No leggings, bike shorts, or items with branded logos) OR
Black school logo shorts or plain black shorts
(No leggings, bike shorts, or items with branded logos)
- School PE T-shirt
Rugby jumper or black bonded jacket
All items, including plain black track pants and shorts, are available from PSW.
Changes to the Regular School Uniform
On days when students do not have PE, the full school uniform must be worn. This includes:
- Plain black shoes
- Grey shorts, pants, summer dress, or skirt
- White shirt
School blazer, school jumper, or bonded jacket
Please note: The rugby jumper is only permitted on PE days and sporting events and is not part of the regular school uniform. Students should ensure they bring their school blazer, jumper, or bonded jacket instead.
Uniform Compliance
Students who are out of uniform must bring a note to their Year Level Coordinator’s office by 8:30 am to receive a uniform pass.
Students without a pass will be withdrawn from class, and parents will be contacted to support compliance.
We appreciate your support in ensuring all students are prepared for the 2026 school year with the correct uniform.
