2027 Planning
We have had a significant number of students enrol for 2027 already, and places are filling up fast. If you have a prep child beginning school next year, please ensure all enrolments are finalised by the end of term. Please visit the school’s website to fill in an enrolment form.
We have started the early stages of organising classes for 2027. If you are leaving the area and your child will not be attending Tarneit Rise Primary School next year, or if you plan on transferring your child to one of our neighbouring schools you are zoned to, please let the office know https://forms.gle/1c1YPewNVCG3R4UV9 so we can plan with accurate student numbers. If you have a prep child starting next year, these enrolments should have already been finalised, but if not, please get these in as soon as possible.
Do you have a grade placement request for your child for 2027?
When making a grade placement request/s it is important you understand:
It is not to be assumed that information provided to the school in the past in relation to class placement will be considered in this year’s discussions. Previous requests are not kept on record and need to be voiced, if necessary, when requested each year.
only valid reasons will be taken into consideration by the school in decision making following any ‘requests’ made by parents for the following year’s class placement. Parents / carers who present such reasons and translate these into ‘requests’ should do so on the understanding that the request will be listened to and discussed with the appropriate personnel but not necessarily acted upon in the way requested.
placement of children in classes will be made considering the following, where relevant, for both the student and the cohort: class size, learning needs, gender mix, peer groups, sibling divisions, behavioural needs, special family circumstances, social or emotional needs, cohort dynamics, and teachers assigned to the year level (if known)

Grade placement requests are due by 3:30pm Friday October 9th.
This process is designed to gather information in order to create a positive learning environment for all students. It is not a process for self-selection of classmates or teachers. Thank you for your continued support of this complex process.
