TRPS Choir

On Friday 14th August, the Tarneit Rise Primary School Choir achieved an incredible milestone, participating in the Royal South Street Society Choral Eisteddfod in Ballarat.
This was a particularly special achievement for our school, as it was the first time TRPS had ever entered a choral competition. Our students worked incredibly hard in the lead-up to the event, rehearsing their repertoire and developing their confidence, musical skills and teamwork.
The choir performed exceptionally well, receiving wonderful feedback from the adjudicator. A particular highlight was our original arrangement of “Beds Are Burning” by Australian band Midnight Oil, which received especially positive feedback from the adjudicator, teachers and community involved.
Against six participating schools, TRPS placed 4th, receiving an Honorable Mention and a score of 76/100 for the Senior Primary School section.
While the result is something to be proud of, the greatest achievement was seeing our students step onto the stage, represent our school and perform with such confidence and enthusiasm. Congratulations to every member of the TRPS Choir! Your hard work, commitment and dedication have made this first competition one we will remember for a long time.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the choir throughout this journey. We can't wait to see where our musical journey takes us next!
Mr. Stanley and Mr. Kirby
