Keira L (Year 10)

In some exciting news, Keira L is one of the Australian Parliament’s My First Speech National Finalist. 

The competition required student to write and record an inaugural speech (previous known as a ‘maiden speech’) where they act as a member of parliament and speak on an issue facing Australia. 

She is one of six finalists from Year 10 nationally, and the only one from Victoria. The winners are chosen by various sitting MPs and will be announced later this year. Her speech has been published on their website here: https://www.aph.gov.au/myfirstspeech
