Music Captains

We would like to congratulate Matilda and Tajwyn  who are our new music captains for 2024. Both students have already made an enormous contribution to the BSC music program and we are looking forward to them compering concerts, providing some practical assistance and continuing to be fantastic ambassadors for our program. 

Ensemble leaders will be appointed over the next week.

Swing Band first performance for 2024!

Rehearsals for the swing band are in full motion as the students and staff prepare for the first performance of the year. On Sunday 3rd March, the Swing Band will be performing on the Paynesville foreshore as part of the Paynesville Classic Boat Festival. The band will be performing from 11:30am-12:30pm. If you are free, pop down to Paynesville and support our fabulous musicians.

Music Recruitment

With some of the interruptions to our usual music recruitment process, we are a bit later getting students into the program. The instrumental information evening saw many interested students sign up but we understand that not everyone could make it. It is not too late for students. Students are welcome to come down to the music centre and chat with the staff and look at the instruments on offer. If you need an enrolment package, please contact Kim Green in the music department.
