AGTV Poetry Competition State Final 

The UHS German team was delighted to have two of our students participate in the AGTV Poetry Competition State Final in August. 

Elsie Advocat and Aoife Lakey (Year 7), along with Aren Li and Aarav Ajithkumar, were first selected to represent UHS in the Regional Final, and their outstanding performances won them a place in the State Final, held at the Austrian Club in West Heidelberg. 

Elsie and Aoife both gave fantastic performances to a panel of judges, reciting from memory with excellent pronunciation and expression. What a great achievement! 2024 saw UHS return to the German Poetry Competition after a break of many years. Thanks to Frau Staeb for re-introducing this valuable activity back into our curriculum.
