2025 School Council Election

2025 School Council Election: Notice of Election and Call for Nominations (Parent Members)
An election is to be conducted for members of the school council of Hillsmeade Primary School.
Nomination forms may be obtained from the school office and must be lodged by 12.00pm Wednesday 12 Feb 2025.
If sufficient nominations are received to require an election, voting will close at 4.00pm Monday 24 Feb 2025.
There are four (4) parent positions vacant and no (0) DE staff positions vacant. The vacancies are for positions to be held for two years.
Membership of school council comes with a number of responsibilities including attendance at meetings, and parents are encouraged to read about school councils when nominating (see attachment).
The election timeline, attached, follows the DE guidelines for election process.
The first meeting for the new council will be on Tuesday March 4, and council must meet at least 8 times each year. The full list of meetings for 2025 will be available to the council in March at the first meeting.
Parents must be able to attend the meetings to be on council.
Election oversight will be Business Manager Stewart Johnson.
