Killester Wonder Program
We are seeking Killester Alumni to participate in our new and exciting Wonder Program (commencing in 2022). As part of the program, our Alumni will help students from Years 7 to 9 to explore vocations and all the WONDEROUS opportunities that await them beyond the Killester gates. Your level of involvement depends on your capacity - you can participate in a ‘small’ or ‘large’ way. If you are interested in being involved or finding out more please email wonder@killester.vic.edu.au. We look forward to hearing from you!
Shared Stories Anthology
This year a new lunchtime activity has started called ‘Shared Story Creatives’. This activity has run during lunchtime both at school and online during remote learning. Shared Stories is an annual anthology of creative works including both written texts and visual artworks by primary and secondary school students from Catholic schools across Victoria. This year is its 15th year and the anthology forms part of the permanent collection of the State Library of Victoria.
We have enjoyed lots of interesting conversations and creativity within our group with participating students from every year level. We would like to commend all the students for their participation and submissions throughout the year.
Congratulations to the following students whose submissions will be published in this year's book with its theme of ‘Chasing Happiness’. This is very exciting as these students will become published artists and writers and will receive a copy of the anthology. We would also like to congratulate Keera Chapman, a Year 12 student, who kindly wrote a beautiful welcome for the anthology this year.
A virtual opening for the anthology will take place in November this year, once the book is edited and published.
