Dear Killester Community,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish the Class of 2021 the very best for their final assessments and end of year examinations. I am sure you will agree they have shown both tenacity and grace in navigating their Year 11 and 12 studies over the past two years.
The Year 10 and 11 students are invited to submit an application for the Access Monash Program for 2022. Application details were sent to all students and families via EdSmart on Wednesday October 6. We are fortunate that Killester College is a Monash University partner school. This makes all of our students eligible to take part in this wonderful program. Monash University will be presenting to our Year 10 cohort on Thursday October 28 which will culminate in a Q & A session. Any Year 11 student interested in this webinar is asked to contact Ms Anderson.
Year 11 students have received information on a range of VCE University Extension Programs for 2022. Please note these programs are only on offer to students who have taken a Unit 3/4 study during Year 11 and are anticipating a study score of 40 or above.
I encourage eligible students to read through the information in the link below and consider making an application. The below Universities have confirmed they are offering extension studies in 2022:
- Deakin University - applications close December 3, 2021
- Federation University - applications due to Ms Anderson by December 3, 2021
- LaTrobe University - applications close February 2, 2022
- RMIT - applications close December 6, 2021
- The University of Melbourne - applications close January 2, 2022
Students may receive credit for their studies towards their ATAR (if eligible) and can also receive recognition of prior learning (RPL) towards particular Bachelor Degrees and save on tertiary fees.
