Lest we forget

On Thursday, 11 November, Cecil Hills High School marked Remembrance Day. This year was the 103rd anniversary of the signing of the Armistice in 1918. This agreement brought an end to the fighting in World War One.

On this day, we commemorate all those men and women who have given their lives in past wars. Their sacrifices should never be forgotten.

At Cecil Hills High School, our school captains, Jessica Narvaiza and Andrew Gewargis laid a wreath at our school's memorial followed by a recitation of the Ode with our Principal, Mr Sutton.

At 11.00 am, a minute of silence was also observed by the entire school.
