Trivia Night

Congratulations to the World Challenge girls on an amazing night on 6 September. They all worked so well together to make this night such a success. From the MCs, trivia masters, scorers, collectors of the trivia answers, collectors of all the coins and the allocation of silent auction items, everything worked so smoothly.

The teams were able to raise $8,500.00 from the night. This money will be split between the two groups with a large proportion of this going towards the community project in Vinh Long, Vietnam.

With only 66 days until the girls depart on 24 November there are many things to do: visas, purchasing or borrowing items on the kit list, vaccinations, researching Vietnam and Cambodia, walking in those boots and, of course, saving some spending money for shopping!

We have a parent meeting on Tuesday 29 October in the Meeting Room at 7.00pm. This will be the last opportunity for parents to come along and ask the World Challenge leaders any questions prior to departure.

We will also have a World Challenge and  East Timor Mass on Wednesday 20 November. This will be a lovely opportunity for the World Challenge and East Timor girls to gather together as a community to reflect on this wonderful opportunity we have to immerse ourselves in these life-changing experiences.

The girls will need to prepare themselves physically for the trek. We will have some training sessions that will start in Term 4. More details will follow in a separate letter early next term.
