Meeting the Premier

In very exciting news, Year 12 student Ali Tkacz was selected to present the Premier Mark McGowan his Team WA jacket at the opening yesterday (26 August) of the WorldSkills Australia competition.

Ali, who is our College Student Ministry Captain and is part of Team WA competing in the Business category,  spoke to Mr McGowan for several minutes. She did an amazing job and was an impressive ambassador (as always).

Ali was attending the launch with fellow students Liam Baxter and Ben Park, who have two training days before the VET in Schools competition tomorrow.

Students may recall Ali, Liam and Ben receiving their jackets at the NAIODOC Assembly:

While Ali is focusing on Business, Liam and Ben are both competing in the category of Information Technology.

If you'd like to go along and support them and visit the Careers Expo at the same time, the competition and Careers Expo is open to the general public from 9am to 4pm at the Convention Centre – entry is free but visitors need to register online (COVID precaution)  www.skillswestexpo.com.au.

Best of luck Ali, Liam and Ben.
