Art of photography

This year more than 50 students signed up to be part of the Media Team – all itching to get their hands on a Canon at major College events such as last week’s Interschool Athletics Carnival.

Congratulations to all 36 students who took part in capturing the colour and enjoyment of the day. More than 2000 images were taken, including the incredible stand-out cover picture of today’s newsletter by Rachel Bruyns!

Special thanks to Media Team captain Anuskha Kotian for her mentoring and rostering precision – ensuring as many volunteers as possible had a turn taking photographs between their own events. Anuskha also took the following fantastic action shots on the day and has since worked hard helping students get their photo submissions in order: 

Dean of Studies Mr Dowling joined the pop-up production desk under the verandah at Ern Clarke Reserve this year, creating on-the-spot videos from footage taken that were then posted to the College Facebook page.

One of the videos caught the eye of Olympian Peter Bol who commented: “Sooo good!’’
