5/6 Hooptime Basketball Tournament

Our 5/6 grades embarked on the State Basketball Centre in Wantirna this week and made our school proud, as they gave it their all.  10 teams competed, from our competitive All Star boys and girls teams, our 2 mixed Future Star teams and our 6 non-competitive Rookie teams.  Thank you to all our 5/6 teachers and especially to Mr Hogg and Mr Ringin for all your work coordinating and trialling of teams.  We also thank our wonderful parent volunteers, who assisted us on the day.

There was a real buzz around the stadium throughout the day, with big smiles on the students‘ faces as they experienced the fun of playing in a team sport.

Congratulations to the Donvale Venom Future Stars who won their grand final and will now go on to compete in the next round. Another big shout out to the Donvale Lakers Rookie team who went through the day undefeated.

Kangaroo Club  (Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2)

We can't forget our younger years either, as they complete their skipping unit, displaying great personal achievements in the Kangaroo Club and making such wonderful improvement.  They mastered skills including the single jump rope, long rope, timed continuous skipping and tricks.
