Book Week Celebration

We are so excited about celebrating Book Week next week. On Tuesday we will be having our annual Dress Up & Activity Day. We encourage the students to come dressed as their favourite book characters.  It's going to be a great day with lots of fun activities planned.

We will be having a parade in the morning. If we are able to hold this outside, we welcome families to attend. If it is too cold or wet, we will have to have the parade inside and this will just be for the students due  to space constraints

Meerkat Productions

Meerkat Productions visited our school this week and performed adaptions of the books, ‘Frank’s Red Hat’ and ‘The Way of the Dog’.  Both of these books have been nominated for a Children’s Book Week Award.

The Junior school enjoyed the interactive performance of ‘Frank’s Red Hat’. They wore beanies and masks that they made in class. The Senior students watched the moving performance of ‘The Way of the Dog’  which had a mix of sadness, humour and rap in it.

What a great way to start our Book Week celebrations!
