Premier's Active April

This year as a college we are participating in the government initiative Active April. Premier’s Active April is free and aims to promote healthy and active lifestyles and get Victorians to join in the fun of increased physical activity. GEC are participating this year to promote the same message to our students and broader school community.

 

Premier’s Active April encourages all Victorians to do 30 minutes of physical activity a day during April. It’s free, it’s fun and many incentives/benefits are free when signing up.

How to register

Step 1: Go to: https://app.activeapril.vic.gov.au/login and click register

Step 2: Fill in your details making sure to include ‘Glen Eira College’ in your school

Step 3: ‘skip, skip, skip’

Step 4:  Verify your account through the email sent

Step 5: Once verified, at the top of your profile click ‘teams’

Step 6: Scroll down to ‘Join a team’ → then enter ‘run-gec’

 

There are also many giveaways for schools that involve their community and we need your help! Sign up yourselves, your children, your aunties, your uncles and join our team. The most active school during Active April will win a $2000 sporting voucher, with many other prizes to be won, including for the school with the most students and teachers registered.  

 

As a participant, you can log your daily activity in the mobile or web app and chart your progress throughout the month. You can join teams, track your progress and explore the My Local feature to discover events, offers and facilities that are available near you. You can also access instructional videos to help you keep active every day.
