Sport Results

Lawn Bowls – we are the current defending State Champions.  We won our first 3 rounds defeating Suzanne Corey 2, Maribyrnong Sports Academy and Delahey.  We went into the quarter final confident but in a shock result we lost to Suzanne Cory by 1 shot 6-5.

NRL Rugby 9’s – 16yrs girls - def Alamanda 16-4, def Craigieburn 20-8, def St. Albans 20-12 but lost to Hume Central 4-8. We had a replay, meeting Hume Central in the final and reversed the result winning 16-8 to qualify for the State final.

NRL Rugby 9’s – 16yrs boys – def Baden Powell 32-0, def Alamanda 28-0, def Manor Lakes 16-0 def the Grange 16-12 – both Manor Lakes and The Grange as Rugby Academy schools receive a lot of support from Rugby Vic. In the final, played straight after the Grange match we did well but lost a close one 16-12. Hopefully we receive a wildcard entry to the State final.

NRL Rugby 9’s – 18yrs girls – our girls were all set to play but the pool opposition did not turn up, so we qualified for the State final, after playing The Grange.

NRL Rugby 9’s – 18yrs boys – the senior boys competition did not meet its full potential as 3 schools were disqualified for playing students who were not enrolled or were the incorrect age for this level. We were all good and qualified for the final where we drew with Point Cook – both teams are off to the State final.

Volleyball

Senior girls won all 3 games convincingly in straight sets and never gave the opposition a look in.

Intermediate boys also won all their games in straight sets.

Senior boys finished in a 3 way tie but got through on countback with three teams winning two games and losing one, but they got their act together in the last match to dominate one of the other tied schools. All 3 teams now qualify for the Western Region finals in Geelong next term.

Intermediate girls were eliminated early after a very close 3 setter.

  • No CONSENT form - No MONEY –  not returned by DUE date = No GO = get left behind = unhappy team and coach
