Junior School
Week 8 saw 180 Year 7 students, travelling to Grantville near Phillip Island for the Year 7 camp. Students experienced canoeing, high ropes, giant swing, bush cooking, hut building and a bushwalk as well as a night walk, stargazing and a campfire. They were very impressed with the 3-course dinner and were quite excited to experience a bush setting including a visit from some kangaroos.
Year 7 camp is an important event in the transition schedule as it allows staff and students to grown essential positive relationships, while students develop their skills related to resilience and growth mindset.
On Tuesday, 30 March, Melton Secondary College welcomed over 200 people to the Grade 6 Open Night. This was a chance for the families of next year’s Year 7’s to explore the school, meet some teachers and familiarise themselves with the amazing programs we offer from Year 7 all the way to Year 12. The night was a great success thanks to the dedication and hard work of our staff. A big thank you to our student helpers including our student tour guides who looked amazing in their MSC blazers.
