Unit 1&2 Outdoor Ed - Sailing

On Monday, 15 and Tuesday, 16 March the Unit 1 & 2 VCE Outdoor Education class ventured down to Eastern Beach in Geelong to participate in two days of Sailing. Students learnt to work together as a team to sail efficiently as well as how to turn the boat, sometimes at short notice! We also learnt about the type of environment and our motivations for attending. For some it was about learning to make new friends and for others it was to experience something new.

Students grew in confidence over the two days – many were scared about tipping the boat at first however felt comfortable enough to have a ‘titanic’ moment standing at the front of the boat by day two. 

We had a great two days with beautiful sunny weather and are very thankful to Ms Webster and Mr Whittingham for attending.
