Peninsula Region Chess Championships

On Thursday, August 29th, MSC hosted the 9th annual Peninsula Region Chess Championships.  In its infancy this competition only involved a few neighbouring secondary schools but this year the invite went out to all schools in the peninsula region, public and private, primary and secondary.  The following eight schools participated this year:

• Moorooduc Primary School
• Frankston High School
• Dromana College
• Balcombe Grammar School
• Rosebud Secondary College
• Red Hill Consolidated School
• Elisabeth Murdoch College
• Mornington Secondary College

This event saw nearly 80 students competing against one another simultaneously.  The school that won overall for the day was Frankston High School.  A huge congratulations must go out to all participants.  The following students represented Mornington Secondary College extremely well and ought to be acknowledged:
