Congratulations to the Class of 2021

We feel very fortunate that we were able to celebrate the graduating class of 2021 with a Valedictory function. Usually, we celebrate with students and caregivers but with Covid restrictions we held a student only event in the gym. Students enjoyed the night and were presented with their graduation gifts, their HPSC certificate and enjoyed a photo booth, music and food trucks. We would like to thank all the staff that contributed to the event. It was a mammoth effort from the Senior School Team to get the event up and running on short notice and we are very grateful that we had a large turn out from the students. We wish our departing students a successful and happy future but would also like to remind them that there is an opportunity to join our alumni program as well as continue to access support from careers. This is especially important for students once ATAR scores are released as careers is available to support them with VTAC change of preferences.

Last Friday was bittersweet as we said goodbye to the Hampton Park Secondary College class of 2021! The valedictory dinner was held at HPSC, with food trucks, a photo booth and a DJ to accompany the night. A big thanks to Fedora DJs and Photo Booth Hire for helping us give our year 12's a fantastic night. Congratulations to all our Year 12 students and we wish you all the best for the future, we are sure you'll all do amazing things!

Check out a video some of the photos from the photo booth sent to us Fedora DJs and Photo Booth Hire below.

Commencement

The year 11s and 12s of 2022 started their Commencement classes in the last couple of weeks. Commencement provides students with an opportunity to explore their chosen classes for next year, begin the work that will support them to be successful as well as experience the demands of the subjects before the summer break. For all VCE and VCAL classes students have been given holiday homework that must be completed before their first day back next year. The work that is set by their teachers will help prepare them for next year and will contribute to their outcomes next year. We also encourage students to take the opportunity to rest and relax over the holidays but to also come prepared for day one of 2022.

Year 12 VCAL

This week Nathan Carter, a year 12 VCAL Student collected a $250 gift voucher donated to HPSC by Bunnings Warehouse in Cranbourne. The gift voucher went toward supplies for the VCAL construction project which included a bench and table made by the VCAL students for use by the school community. Nathan is working hard on the construction and aims to finish before the end of term for staff and students to enjoy. Keep up the good work Nathan!
