YEAR 8 FRENCH

STUDENTS HAVE CREATED THEIR OWN BIC PEN

As Year 8 French students are working on the topic of schooling in France, they have also researched about the French BIC Company, very well known for their 4-colour BIC pen.

Students were very excited to work with Katarina, Brand manager of BIC Asia Pacific, and Christelle, Planning manager, to research about the history of the company.

Among many facts, they found that the first BIC pen, named after his founder, was released in 1950 and was the BIC Cristal. It changed the pen market from fountain pen to ballpoint. Students also found that a regular BIC ballpoint pen could draw a line that's about 2 kilometres long.

The second part was developing their creativity as they had a template of a BIC pen and they needed to decorate their own pen.

Some came with geometrical patterns; others chose floral ones, movie characters, dots, landscapes, and Australian animals…

Bien sûr, students have been rewarded with the famous 4-colour BIC pen.

But wait, this is not the end.

A final selection will be made to name the winner of the most creative drawing. We can’t wait!
