STEP Superchef

On Tuesday, May 9th, the STEP Superchef students went on an excursion to William Angliss Institute. It is a TAFE college with lots of different focuses, such as cooking, baking, aviation/cabin crew, hotel management/hospitality and restaurant management, and we were lucky enough to be able to do a tour of this facility. While walking to the place we went through Brunetti’s and got some amazing cakes and we then went through the royal arcade stopping to look at the spectacular display of deserts and cakes. We then caught the tram to the Queen Vic market. When we finally arrived at William Angliss we were able to see some of the rooms they use such as they kitchen area, the baking area, the aviation area, the hospitality area and the chocolate labs. We also learnt about all the courses they offer and to finish off our day we were able to enjoy a three-course meal at one of their fine dining restaurants, which is run by the students. We really enjoyed it and we are very grateful for our teacher for organising it.
