VCE VET Sport & Recreation

On Monday 8th May, all VCE VET Sport and Recreation students completed their Level 2 First Aid Certificate. The course was run by Parkdale Secondary College’s RTO – Savile. 

The students gained an understanding on how to respond and manage emergency situations. Some of the skills the students gained included: CPR qualification, how to use a defibrillator and how to bandage an injury. 

The students were required to complete the first aid course as part of their VET Sport and Recreation course. However, having this qualification is beneficial for the students when applying for a part time job, assisting in a volunteer role, and enhancing their ability to contribute to the community.
