Upcoming Events - Christmas is coming!

We are approaching the end of the year and with that brings lots of opportunities to celebrate together and have some fun!

Christmas Raffle - Nov 22nd to Dec 5th

We are calling on donations for our Christmas Raffle which will be drawn on December 16th and awarded at our final assembly. We will be accepting donations of chocolates, gift items, wine, vouchers, board games, candles, and so on. New items only please. We will be wrapping hampers on December 5th - please contact the office if you would like to help out. All donations can be dropped off at the office.

Christmas Concert - 6th Dec at 6pm

This year our Christmas Concert is back and we are really looking forward to spending time with the whole school community and seeing some festive performances from our students. Bring a picnic and get together with friends as we celebrate the end of the year together. We will also be auctioning off some beautiful collaborative art pieces created by our Monty students with all funds going towards Lily's Library.

Kris Kringle and Chip-nic - 9th Dec

The Chip-nic is BACK! Possibly one of the most popular events at the end of year. Students bring along a gold coin contribution and enjoy some hot chips with their classmates. We recommend packing a normal lunch on this day. Kris Kringle will also be taking place on this day, with students bringing a gift for a classmate which is all very 'top secret'! Look out for the notice coming home with your child at the end of this week. We will be looking for parent helpers on the day who are able to collect hot chips and serve students anytime from approximately 11am to 2pm (you do not need to be here for the whole time). Contact the office if you would like to assist.

Diamond Valley Community Support - Christmas Food Drive - Nov 22nd to 30th

We are partnering with DVCS to support vulnerable people in our local community with donations of non-perishable and Christmas foods. There is no doubt that the holiday season can be an expensive time of year with many families feeling the strain while also wanting to make this a special time of year for their loved ones. We will be collecting items in the office up until the 30th November. If anyone would like to volunteer to deliver these to DVCS at Greensborough Plaza (Kmart level), please contact the office.

Some suggestions include:

  • Sweet biscuits
  • Tinned fruit or vegetables
  • Toothpaste
  • Tinned tuna
  • Tea and coffee
  • Cup of soup
  • Instant noodles
  • Christmas treats
  • Long life milk
  • Any other non-perishables

Transition Day

Our staff structure for 2023 will be sent via compass on Monday 5th December. All students will spend much of the day on Thursday 8th December with their 2023 teacher and class.

Year 6-7 Transition Day

This year, the Year 6-7 Transition day will be held on Tuesday 13th December.  For those students that have already had transition and therefore will not be attending their 2023 secondary school, a regular program will be in place here at school.

Curriculum Day

A reminder that Wednesday 7th December is a curriculum day (student free day). Staff will be busy moving classrooms for the 2023 school year as well as spending time with their 2023 teacher team to plan for Term 1.

Lunch Order Provider

We are still on the hunt for a lunch order provider for 2023!

Please reach out to us, and advise if you know of any businesses who may be able to assist us.

Have a great weekend!
