Grade 3/4 Students

3/4A - Ms Yvette and Mrs Hunter

3/4A has been full of smiles, positive energy, and of course learning this last fortnight. 

It’s hard to believe that there is less than a month to go as a class: students are displaying a growth in maturity, thoughtfulness for peers, a desire to learn and understand, and a real growth mindset.

We are loving our new Mathematics unit focusing on Time, and students are demonstrating creativity, and an understanding of storytelling, during our Narrative writing. We are getting close to finishing our Google Earth presentations, so please do talk to your 3/4A student about their chosen country, and information they have learnt during this Integrated Studies unit.

The class has been working hard for quite a while to improve their handwriting, and seven of our students had been ultimately working towards the goal of earning their Pen Licence. There were smiles for days (and even some tears of relief and joy!) when they received their licence in a class presentation recently. Fellow students were proud and elated for their peers, which demonstrated the comradery and empathy they share for one another. Congratulations to the Special Seven!

3/4B - Mr Bolger

3/4B have recently finished reading ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ as our class novel. The students had different opinions about the book, so we decided to use Google Slides to create some Book Reviews. While completing the task, students learnt about the different ways we can design our slides in our own personal style, as well as learn about some of the Keyboard Shortcuts that make using a computer easier. 

3/4D - Mr Mitch 

This week in 34D, we have been thoroughly enjoying writing narratives. All students have been writing a fixed fairy tales along with another imaginative piece of their choosing. Below are the wonderful creations of Maddie K. Sabine D. Stevie-Rose V. and Osha W.
