Japanese

This week in Japanese:

Sushi is now known and eaten in many countries around the world, including Australia. In Week 7 and 8, YR5&6 students learned the origin and history of sushi (people were already eating sushi 1,000 years ago in Japan), researched different kinds of sushi in groups and presented in front of the class. Sushi was developed as a portable meal and is now accessible from shops and supermarkets and eaten for lunch and dinner in Japan; it is also eaten at times of celebration. This week, YR5 and 6 learned how to roll sushi beautifully and celebrated YR6’s upcoming graduation. This celebratory Japanese lesson was enjoyed by all!

Big thank you again to our amazing volunteers Naho san and Tomoe san! We are so lucky to have your generous support!
