From the Principal

 Term 2

Thank you to our entire school community for your sustained efforts this term. Despite it being a shorter term in length, it has been extremely busy and rewarding. The challenges of absences for both students and staff due to illness including COVID and the flu has been felt. Our resilience when faced with adversity of this nature has been tested, as a school community we have risen to the challenge and continued to provide an outstanding education experience for our students. To still be able to offer the large variety of extracurricular opportunities that makes our school so great, to complement the excellent teaching and learning, has been something I am very proud of.

Thank you to our wonderful teaching and ES staff, for making this possible. Thank you to all of our families for working in partnership with us to support your child(ren). I hope all of our students enjoy their break. Stay warm and healthy and I look forward to welcoming everyone back next term.

Examinations

Students in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 have recently undertaken examinations to assess their learning progress this semester. These are a great opportunity to reflect on growth and our teaching and learning programs. Thank you to our Heads of Department and Sub Schools for their efforts overseeing these.

Year 12 Formal

It was wonderful for our Year 12 students to have the opportunity to have their formal on Wednesday 8 June at Mornington Racecourse. Thank you to Ms Carla Caminiti, Ms Kelly Mitchell and Mrs Helen Wilson for their efforts in making this possible, supported by Mrs Ellen D’Ambra, Mr Paul Don, Mrs Sharon Bourne, Mr Adam Martin and Ms Tiffany Greenhill. Thank you to those staff who attended later in the evening to share this occasion with their Year 12 students.

Great Victorian Bike Ride

Thank you to Mr Mal Burt for his efforts in leading preparations for this wonderful experience and event for our students later this year. There was an information evening on Wednesday 8 June for interested families and we look forward to the build-up and excitement for those students and staff who will be participating.
