Indigenous Careers Expo

On Friday 12 August, nine students from year 9-11 travelled to Bendigo to attend the Indigenous Careers Expo.

A number of universities were there showcasing what they had to offer, providing showbags full of information for the students.

There were also a number of organisations and agencies onsite offering students careers advice, including Coliban Water, Centrelink, Sandhurst Catholic Education, Bendigo Health, Bendigo TAFE, Sandhurst Catholic Education, VAEAI, Victoria Police and a childcare centre.

Students were also fortunate to hear from Indigenous guest speakers who worked as Parks Victoria Rangers and how they found their passion for the job and working on Dja-Dja Wurrung and Yorta-Yorta Country.

Morning tea and lunch was served to all students who had travelled from as far as Swan Hill. Thanks to Mrs Muluso for travelling with us on the day.
