Sports Report
Athletics Carnival
The House Athletics Carnival will be held next Thursday 25 August. This event is for all students and will be held at the Jack Eddy Oval, Moama from 9am to approximately 3:00pm.
Free BBQ sausages will be available for students and the school canteen will also provide a limited menu on site for the day. However, it is recommended that all students take adequate food and water for themselves as they would normally do. Please note the canteen will only accept cash or eftpos on the day, no Flexicard facilities will be available.
We are excited that we can again come together as a whole school community for the Athletics Carnival and expect all students to attend and participate in support of their Houses. Parents are most welcome to attend as a supporter on the day and we look forward to seeing you there.
Attendance notes for the day:
- For country travelers, buses will transport students to the oval.
- Town students can make their own way to the oval and be present by 9am for LM roll marking (or catch a shuttle from school between 8.30 and 8.45am).
- Students who are not at the event prior to 9am to get their name marked off the class roll, will get a text home to parents notifying of their absence (as is the normal circumstance).
- Students who do not attend the day due to illness are required to provide a medical certificate to their Learning Mentor, the day after the event.
- Students are not permitted to leave the oval surroundings during the carnival.
- For students wishing to depart directly from the sports (ie town travelers, or those with parents in attendance), parents will need to give permission on Operoo.
- Students traveling back to School post the Sports will remain on the school site until 3.15pm as per a normal school day.
Students who qualify will progress to the Campaspe round in Shepparton on Tuesday 6 September.
