Year 9/10 Boys Basketball

On Wednesday 19 October, our Year 9/10 boys basketball team travelled to Immanuel College to play in the first round of Division 1 Statewide knock out basketball. The first game saw us taking on Brighton Secondary School. The first quarter started well, with some tidy three point shooting from Isaac but the height advantage that Brighton held was too much and we were out rebounded at both ends of the court.

With a growing lead our defence changed to a zone which held the margin and some good ball movement ensured us some handy points from Riley and Evan. However, Brighton were just too strong and took a convincing win. 

The second game saw us facing Immanuel College who were tall and skilled opponents. We got off to a slow start with some excellent defensive efforts from Tate meant we got some second looks in offence and gave Ryley another chance to shine from the three point line. The lead Immanuel held increased and the game turned to casual fun, with both teams enjoying some creative shooting making for a positive end to the day.
