Primary Co-Curricular Report

Primary Co-Curricular Report

Things have slowed down on the sporting front now that all football and soccer has concluded. Only our basketballers are still in action. The Year 4/5 boys have lost their past two matches but reports suggested that they played one of their best games of the year against a very tough opposition last week. With two games to go, hopefully the boys keep working hard to improve and a win might be just around the corner.

The Year 6/7 boys have had mixed results the past few weeks. A few more numbers at training would help with positioning and defensive strategies. The Black team face East Adelaide this week but the Blue team have the BYE. Finals are only two weeks away with the last game to be played on 25 September. A big final effort is required from this group!

Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 Swimming Lessons

During the final week of this term (23-27 Sept)  the Junior Primary classes will be undertaking their DECS Swimming block. Class teachers will be seeking parental support from parents that have the appropriate Catholic Schools Clearance. Notices have already been distributed to students. Please ensure all medical forms are returned to your son’s class teacher in the weeks prior to the lessons.

Summer Sport

Summer sport begins in the first week of Term 4. All boys that participated during Term 1 are expected to fulfil their commitment and again be available during Term 4. Team nominations have already been sent to the Sports Association for Adelaide Schools. There will be meetings held by the team coaches and managers late this term to get boys back into the groove of summer sport.

A full program of fixtures, the training schedule and coaches will be available on SEQTA, hopefully by the end of this term, but definitely during the holiday break.
