QISSN & Confraternity Carnivals

 

The St. Mary’s netball and Rugby League teams travelled to Mackay over the holidays to compete in the QISSN and Confraternity Carnivals. Both teams had great success in their pools and represented the College with pride and determination. 

Congratulations to:

  • Charlotte Jonsen (Year 10) who was selected in the QISSN Rising Stars team at the recent Mackay netball tournament. The team of ten players was selected from over 650 participants and considered the best up and coming netballers.
  • Caitlin Jackson (Year 11), who was awarded the St Mary's Most Valuable Player at the QISSN tournament. Her leadership and skill really shone throughout the five days of competition.
  • Zak Rookwood (Year 12) , Best & Fairest for Rugby League – St. Mary’s team
  • Cohen Stoute (Year 11), Spirit Award for Rugby League - St. Mary’s team

 

JSS 

 

St. Mary’s JSS campaign begins in Week 4 against Peace Lutheran. This week, we discussed the importance of representing our College with PRIDE, working with SYNERGY and showing good SPORTSMANSHIP. Each week, students will be allocated points for demonstrating these three values, which will be tallied at the conclusion of the season. The student with the most points will be awarded the inaugural ‘Selsby Spirit Cup’. Best of luck to all teams in our first game next week.

  • TCS Athletics Carnival – Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th August
