Marlee is raising money for Apraxia of Speech Kids

with  Heather McClure & Stephan Fields

'Marlee is currently in Year 7 at Woodmans Hill and lives with Apraxia of Speech. Apraxia is motor speech disorder. People with Apraxia have a good understanding of language and know what they want to say however it is difficult for them to learn and carry the movements that are necessary for intelligible speech.

This year, Marlee decided to start making some T'shirts with some powerful messages on them to spread some positivity and raise some money for Apraxia kids. Apraxia kids is an organisation that increases awareness about Apraxia, supports research initiatives, and provides regular articles, resources and brochures to educate people about Apraxia. So far Marlee has made 58 T-shirts and donated $116 to this cause. Recently Mrs McClure and Mr Fields purchased T-shirts from Marlee and surprised her by wearing them to school. You will often see Marlee on her weekends wearing her T-shirts and spreading her message to 'be kind' and 'believe'.
