Careers

Year 10 Students

We have commenced Careers classes with the Year 10 students. It has been a delight to find how very engaged with the process the students are and we have been thrilled with their attention and the sensible and insightful questions they have asked. As part of the preparation for 2022 and beyond, students will complete the Morrisby Online program on Tuesday 11 May. This is a program that can help students discover more about themselves and help drive their career planning.  It is an opportunity for self discovery and the chance for students to think about their strengths and abilities, while exploring potential career options, giving them the confidence to start taking control of their future. A letter has been emailed from Careers staff to Year 10 parents about the Morrisby and the Careers timeline for the remainder of this term and the beginning of Term 3.

Year 10 - 12 Students

A new event, The Victorian Careers Show, will take place on Saturday 15 May at the Showgrounds in Ascot Vale. For our students, this will be easier to access than Caulfield racecourse where the VCE Careers Expo is held. At this event institutions will showcase their courses, there will be information about and resources for the VCE and information about Tertiary study, University, TAFE and training courses, career advice, study advice, employment advice and opportunities, apprenticeships and traineeships and international exchange and gap year programs. This is a great opportunity to commence your career and course research.
