Year 6 Lunchtime Fun!
Premiers' Reading Challenge
Congratulations to all of the students who completed the Premiers' Reading Challenge and received their certificates this week.
Thank you to all the parents who have supported the program.
Library Borrowing
Please note that next week (18 - 22 November) is the last week for student borrowing for 2019. All books borrowed this year will then need to be returned PROMPTLY for stock-take purposes.
Please note that families will be asked to pay for the replacement of any lost books so please check your shelves now! Thank you.
Student Christmas Cards/Treats
We understand that celebrating Christmas is a lovely time for the children which we are all excited to share with them, but please note the following when sending in cards, gifts and celebratory food.
- If you intend on partaking, please do this before/after school hours - it is very time consuming for the teachers to distribute.
- Many parents are concerned about the number of treats that are given to their children without their permission.
Please note that students will not be permitted to consume any treats at school. Thank you.
Movember – BNPS MoBros!
This month the male staff of BNPS are participating in Movember. Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, and this Movember we’re joining them. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help us stop men dying too young. Weet-Bix Champion School Breakfast – 19 November (9.00am)
The Weet-Bix Kids TRY Ambassadors are coming to Beaumaris North Primary School on the morning of Tuesday November 19. Students and families are welcome to join us for a Weet-Bix Champion School Breakfast at 9:00 - 10.00am which will be followed by some information about the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon Event (10.00 - 10.20am) which is scheduled for Sunday 8 March 2020 at Catani Gardens, St Kilda.
Weet-Bix with milk, light milk or soymilk plus honey and/or different fruits will be on offer. Please remember to advise your classroom teacher or email beaumaris.north.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au by Monday 18 November if you DO NOT want your child to participate or if your child is allergic to any of these ingredients.
Past participants are invited to wear their Weet-Bix Kids TRY Champion T-Shirt to school on this day to share the message of achievement and fun of getting involved. We hope to see you!
OzChild Wishing Tree Program
As advised on Compass last week, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful school community, our 500 gift tags have now been allocated and the presents are rolling in! We are still very happy to accept unwrapped gifts (for primary school aged children) that will be passed on to a deserving child.
To assist OzChild with handing out the presents before Christmas, we kindly ask that all unwrapped gifts are returned to school by Friday 22 November. Thanks again for your wonderful support and we look forward to seeing you at our Special OzChild Assembly on Monday 9 December (3.10pm).
Sibling Uniforms for Prep 2020
