Mrs Donna Appel

6B Classroom Teacher

By Euan C (5B) & Kiri S (5A)

Year 5 Junior Council Representatives

What’s the best thing about teaching Year 6?

The Wellbeing program because the students are quite open about their feelings and worries and we are able to help them with strategies to cope with change and transition to Secondary School.

Who would you like to swap places with for a day?

My great niece because she has a fantastic lifestyle. She visits the park, Library, beach and gets to have baby chinos and donuts with her great grandparents.

What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?

It’s been hard to beat the garlic prawns in Cape Leveque, North of Broome many years ago.

If you could visit anywhere in the world you haven’t been to, where would you go?

I’d love to go to Pompeii because I remember studying it in Grade 6 and I’ve always been fascinated with that time in history.

What are your interests outside working at BNPS?

I am kept very busy with my daughter’s involvement in calisthenics; spending lots of time sewing, sequinning and socialising with the other mums.
