Northern Bay College Alumni

We are excited to bring back the alumni program in 2023 and we are enjoying the momentum from last year, and the growing awareness of our program in our school.

As always, we thank our enthusiastic and kind alumni from across the community, and from all our foundation schools (Flinders Peak, Norlane High, Corio Tech, Corio North High, Corio Community College and Corio Bay Senior). 

We also welcome to our brand new alumni, who are in their first year out of school, and navigating post-school life, whether it be university, TAFE or work.

Giving back to the school, or neighbourhood you came from, is a rewarding experience for students, and alumni. If you are considering being a part of the program this year, please get in touch. We would love to have you!

Nikki Love assembly address

Nikki Love (Corio North alum) is not your average Alumni, or person!

Not content with her previous World Record, for the most marathons run consecutively by a woman, she has set her sights on her next challenge...

⚡️65 Consecutive Ultramarathons, running across Australia (a total distance of 4000kms). In another Guinness World Record attempt her run will involve an ultramarathon, every single day for more than 2 months, across Australia, a challenge she begins on May 1st⚡️

We were lucky enough to have Nikki speak at her old school community, to our Goldsworthy campus assembly.

She spoke on the importance of chasing your dreams, and pushing through setbacks to get to your destination, whether it be to run to Perth, or your own personal goals.

Ourschool Law Industry event

How do you readdress the inequality and a lack of diversity in law? 

That was one of the topics raised during our recent Ourschool (our not-for-profit alumni building partner), law networking and fundraising event, ‘Law Connect’. 

Hosted by Herbert Smith Freehills, and specifically for those studying and practising the law, with a passion for public education.

Northern Bay was represented by alums, Maryam Habibi (NBC class of 2020) who is studying her Law / Commerce degree, and Michele Tucker, (Norlane High alum), who is the Principal Solicitor, and Clinic Coordinator, of the Deakin Law Clinic.

Our Northern Bay community continues to benefit from their passion, wisdom and generosity, and we can't wait to bring along law-inclined alums to our future events!

Alumni are very warmly welcome to drop into our upcoming Goldsworthy Community Night, on Thursday 4th May, between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.

If you have the time and would like to give back, mentoring a student can be a immensely rewarding opportunity.

If you have the ability to, we are always on the lookout for work experience opportunities for our students.

And, as always, we rely on generous support through our Northern Bay Challenge, which in part funds the program, along with a scholarship program which focusses on individual support for a student, undertaking a particular course of study towards a vocation.
