Prep - 2 Community

The Prep students across the college have come a long way since the start of the school life in February. Over at Wexford they wanted to tell you just what they can do now with their Reading and Writing!

In Reading

• We have been using our magic pointing finger -Michelle 
• I can point under each word -Aylah 
• I am reading my monkey book -Sohaila 
• We have been using our magic pointing finger - Sophia 
• I can use my magic words to help me read - Jack 
• I’ve been pointing under the words - Nevaeh 
• I know my golden words - Braxton 
• We use pointing sticks to point at the words - Isla 
• You have to point to the words - Emir
• We are learning our Golden Words - Klaus 
• I know all my Golden Words and I’m now learning my Red Words - Onyx 
• We are learning the letter M. M for Monkey - Nathan 
• I play memory games with Robyn - Killian 

Writing

•  We have been matching upper and lower case letters. I liked doing this with the cars -Caleb 
•  I matched the alphabet cars -Connor  
•  I know my upper and lower case letters -Lennie  
•  We used playdough to make letters -Kira  
•  We have been learning to write our name -Hooria  
•  I made my name with playdough -Lenni  
• We know capital letters and lower case letters now - Lily  
• I start my name with a capital ‘O’ and do all the rest lower case Oscar  
• Upper-case letter go at the start of your name - Genavieve  
• We have sort upper and lower case letters - Nay Gay  
• A full stop is at the end of a sentence - Kaleb  
• My name starts with a upper case letter - Zarliah  
• We write with a grey lead pencil - Lily  

One of the other things that like about being at school is being with their buddies. I am sure it also a session that the older students really look forward to.

• I was playing the turtle game with my buddy. I like playing games with them -Aylah  
• We helped clean up the school and picked up all the rubbish with our buddies! -Poppy

• We cleaned up yard with our buddies - Sophie  
• We played games with our buddy - Emma  
• I always play with my buddy in the playground - Sarah  

Investigations

Investigations are one of the most enjoyable, practical and engaging parts of our students learning day.

We have the Lego Masters, The jewelery maker, the reader and the fun lovers! We also have some terrific kids who just want their photo in the Newsletter!  Happy to oblige!

Prep Art

In Prep Visual Art it is very important to look around your own space and your own world. Our youngest students have been noticing that something is happening tothe trees. They have not had too many Autumns in their lives so now that they are school they can all work together and be artistic with leaves and mixing these amazing autumn colours.
